Wow, you have a steel erection. I guess if it is the last erection you will ever have you want it to last a long time so you don't have to worry about those pesky bugs eating your erection and making it fall down.

Oh wait...

There are no troughs with that erection... That means it is the fish erection.... I thought it looked a little small but I guess you will have a bigger one coming soon.

And the piece do resistance as the French would say,my greenhouse, I had them do a extra large vent in the roof to help with the high temps we have, this bad boy is 6m x 12m and just over 4m tall, this will house a third trough.

The roof is plastic, the vent opening and sides are bug screen, this allows free flow of air but stops bugs, not sure what size this screen is.

Incredibly productive week and amazing design you have Dasbooter. The new building has a dynamic design. I love it.

Was there some head scratching going on when it came time to I stall the roof vent between the two materials?

On your columns for the fish house, what material and how thick?

Finally, what is the channel between the walking surface and edge of fish house (some sort of drain or raceway for piping)?

Progress is ALWAYS good!

Adam.

Looking good Andy, may this erection last forever. I must admit I expected a somewhat more permanent at least roof on this one after seeing the plastic get destroyed a few times. I guess the structure being stronger than pic might make it last longer.

They made it look easy, they screwed wiggle wire channel around the opening, the fitted the bug screen the plastic then just sat on top of the wiggle wired screen.
The columns are 3x3inch galvanised steel not sure on the gauge, but there sturdy old posts.
The channel is actually the drain for the roof run off,Thai homes don't use gutters, the rain water just drops where I it does,I had this channel built in around the house to direct it away from the house,as part of the work Iam doing I have asked for a price to gutter part of the house, still waiting on that.
Progress seems to be getting quicker... :thumbright:

The past erections I have just used polythene as the covering, mostly to keep costs down, with this erection I have made sure the budget was there to do it properly first time, the design is slightly different this time with the ends being covered in with bug screen, this should hinder the strong gusts of wind blowing in under the plastic. Secondly this covering is much thicker than anything I have used in the past so hopefully it should last the duration.
