Thats a Mekong Cat they have been known to get to near 650lb but unfortunately are on the critically endangered species in the wild, the program to reintroduce them as failed with no survivors, they do seem to be a prolific breeders in captivity.Fantastic eating fish beautiful firm white flesh.http://images.nationalgeographic.com/wp ... 00x450.jpg

The captive breeding program in Thailand is successful, but they cannot release them back into the wild,i have a fish farm near me that has the fingerlings for sale, but the release of these incredible fish has been a dismal failure. The Mekong spawns in the waters around the Thai border, but this has been subjected to abuse and over everything,so the cats now at the point of no return, but still they go out fishing for it,there seems there is no one to stop them. I did read somewhere that Thailand has asked the rest of the world for help before it is finally to late.
The Mekong River has another critically endangered species, the giant fresh water ray, this grows up into the 600lb mark as well i believe….

G'day Vijay! Much has changed at the BYAP forum. Check in occasionally and you'll see just how quiet it is, these days. I don't think I've had a blue with anyone on here since Rupert of Oz was ex-communicated!

Dear friends,

Greetings! I hope you are staying healthy.

It has been 7+years lurking around here in this community. Long story short, so much has changed in what we have been doing. IAVS has been substantially modified and improved. We call it IAS now, Integrated Aquaponics System!

IAS - the art and science of growing more food organically, with much less water and energy. You can grow fish, microgreens, greens, herbs, vegetables, fruits, fowls and small livestock using IAS methods.

Here is a very brief video for you to have a look. Based on your response, I will elaborate.

Kind regards, vkn

FYI.. NARDC is at 9 years old on June 5. We want to say a big thank YOU for all your support.

I have some good news to share with you as well. We have begun consulting The World's Largest Integrated Aquaponics System (IAS) facility which is coming soon in Chennai. The Exotic IAS will be a high-tech CEA-GH facility. The works began today. The total build area is over 100,000 square feet (8000+ m2). More on this later. Questions welcome.
