If your trying to design a system and you haven't looked at google sketchup yet. Just do it. It's simple to learn and if you follow the easy tutorials you'll be designing things in no time.

I've created a new section in the downloads of the forum where people can upload/download and share their sketchup drawings. So if you have never used sketchup, download the free software above, then download some of my systems in 3D. You can modify them and play with them as you like to suit your own needs, if your building a system with barrels, download my barrel system drawing and change it around, it's much simpler than redrawing everything from scratch..

If you already have some drawings you've done in sketchup, please feel free to go to the download section and upload your drawing for others to share, or email it to a moderator or admin for inclusion into the collection.. It would be good if we can get a collection of useful drawings for everyone..

That's funny, just after I saw your sketch here about two hours ago I downloaded and installed the program. It works great!

And I really like the idea of sharing designs. I'll put up mine when it's finished.

I like the program and all but i scream everytime i try to di anything in it. I guess I am just to use to ACAD. Not percise enough for me and to fidgety for me. But is great for a beginer to play with.

I spent 13 years as a drafty using autocad, but it was mainly 2D electrical stuff, with only a little bit of 3D.. Using sketchup caused me a lot of grief to begin with I was doing lots of cursing, and I still find myself trying to use shortcut keys that don't work in sketchup... Now I'm more used to it I'll be using it a lot more, haven't opened acad in almost 12 months, and sketchup is way easier for beginners...

you could always upload your designs to sketchup's 'warehouse' - then let us know the title and we could download it from there - use google's space to save your designs instead of using up yours EB - just an idea

Wondered about that, but for now there's only three drawings there AM.... Not much......

Plus I don't know that I want to put my drawings out there that publically....

only 3 drawings - what the - there are hundreds... granted, not much to do with Ap, but loads of other stuff...
