How is your system doing, a year later? Do you have an update?

Yes! Will be coming back to this forum to have a more weekly journal of what we've been up to with the system. We've added light movers to one side and also have added some dual root zones to do some testing. I'll be posting an update hopefully within the next week =)

I'm registered under Canada's ACMPR program to produce my own medical cannabis. My dad has generously let myself and another patient under the ACMPR use the aquaponics for growing our medicine =).

Attached a few photos of a Purple Kush x Hindu Kush planted in dual root. It has a little bit too much nitrogen, other than that it's been working great.






We made a super soil mix to put in the top soil area of the dual root zone. It consisted of worm castings, kelp meal, bat guano, rock phosphate, bone meal, blood meal, dolomite lime, azomite, epsom salts & lots of organic potting soil (decomposed for a month before use). System water pH is stable at 6.5. ERV air exchange was installed last week too. There's approx 30-50 gold fish in the tank atm.

Hiya Bobby, you must be really really sick to need that much medicine! Are you still growing veggies?
Where's Romeo gone?

I use cannabis for nerve damage, asthma, anxiety/depression. My friend is also using the aquaponics system to grow his medicine for his Chron's disease. No veggies until spring in the outdoor garden! =)


Romeo is still around! He hasn't been brought down to the shop for a while though since it's cold here in Canada so he stays at the house. =P
