On other forums (not aquaponics ) if I make a comment on a thread I can get notified by email when another comment/post comes in

I cant see that here, is this because
1 I am unaware of email notification set up here
2 We really should be browsing here all the time anyway

click 'Post reply' and check the box: Notify me when a reply is posted

for each topic

In general, in user preferences set: 'Notify me upon replies by default' to yes.
