Hey guys and gals! I'm just wondering if there is anyone else from Eastern coast USA running systems out there? If so let me know. I'm very interested in how you all are winterizing your systems! Don't be afriad to post, unlike my fish, I don't bite :thumbright:

I'm in Atlanta. I keep my system in the garage so that I have some protection from extreme temperature. I have to rely heavily on supplementary lights though...

Hey guys! Love the systems! My question is now for the outside aquaponic systems how do you plan your winter? Are you running them year round? I may try that even if we get two feet of snow!

I'm going to try to run some greens through the winter this year. Even with a green house winter is hard to grow in IMHO.

Not east coast but midwest and know the snow problem. I built a small greenhouse to run my system in. I kept it running through winter and managed to keep it from freezing but didn't stay warm enough to get much growth. This year will hopefully be more successful since the greenhouse will be more complete before winter.
