Living in Tuna capital Australia there are some crazy things one sees at the local dump.

Fishing nets black stuff about 8mm thick rope and about 4k long!!!
but whats grabbed my interest is coolroom panels.... how about 1.2M x 3M x 50/75/100mm thick. how many? i lost count around 100 and was nowhere near half way.

Got me thinking IBC tank pulled from metal frame, wrappped in panels then metal frame around that holding everything together. Then do same with half IBCs GB's and sumps.

Haven't discussed a price yet but pretty confident they will be cheap.

Will this work?
See any problems/issues?

if you have access to that many panels and have some money, why not build a whole cool room warehouse for your fishtanks or maybe even around your whole house for summer.

Bloke I buy my fish off has a huge shed made from coolroom panels its terrific

I used to live not far from portlincoln need to visit my sister so I should come and get a heap to build a fish tank shed.

The Tuna net is handy for all sorts of applications

I use it to cover my chicken runs

Lately ive stuffed it in drums ran some system flow through and used it for extra biofiltration

Last time I was at the Lincoln dump there was enough tuna net for "Ten Men"

A friend of mine's son recently completed a new house made of cool panel type housing material, floor walls and roof. It exceeds all energy efficiency standards resulting in minimal use of heating and aircon very quiet too.
With that amount of panels if I were you I'd build modular enclosures that could be transported to your next destination. Here in Victoria we can get a VicRoads "general permit" that allows us to transport objects up to 3.5 m wide for free.

Where I live we arrange for farmers tractors to block certain roads and haul half shearing sheds on home made trailers to country show grounds.
There is photographic evidence that has been banned due to the if you see it, its true therefore can be proved in a court of law

at dump this morning and forgot tape measure,but I estimate the panels at 3m x 1.2m x 100mm thick @ $10 each. :laughing3:

Cionfirmed sizes 3.8m x 1.2m x 180mm $10 each ....I think I can make use of some of these.

Would the be strong enough so I could remove complete IBC (FT) from frame and encase in coolroom panel, or will they ten to bow out. The GBs are all 1/3 IBC so they should be OK and the 2 sumps will be 1/2 IBC
