which suggests that you would lose half of your strawberries before your broccoli is affected.

Your greenhouse is great.

interesting info, it also explains the beans. but the peppers are doing fine while the cuc's are dying which goes against the table, but the cuc's aren't as as mature, I'll have to print that out.

Update,
To start getting the salt out I did 50% change on monday and a second 50% change yesterday. before the water change I checked my levels Ammo-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-less than 10 so I think I'm cycled! expectedly my nitrates today were less than 5 after the last 50% change. Any remaining salt left in the system is just going to stay there now, within 24 hrs of this last change my bean plants turned from yellow to green so I think it's at acceptable levels now. I've done a lot of water changes over the last 2 weeks I will have to keep an eye on the levels to see if the ammo and nitrites come back. I don't know how fast the nitrates will rise, because the plant growth I have may be sucking them out too fast.
It may be time to increase my stocking density?

Very nice my man.... that GH has come along really well and quickly....
keep us all posted.....

With all your plants forming heads/fruits I wouldn't be surprised if your nitrate level stayed a bit lower anyway....

Don't know about uping your stocking density, but you could maybe up your feed a bit..... maybe let things settle for a week first....

i like the green house.

if you've done 3 50% changes then your salt level will be down to 12.5% of what you originally put in there, if that helps.

Stevo, nice system.
Is the rock wall purely asthetic (which it is) or does it have a function?

Methinks the rock wall is a retaining wall to bring the grade up to the bottom of the greenhouse. Looks like backfill is a nice topsoil for planting.

It looks like what we call Toodyay stone, it is a type of shale or slate me thinks. A lot of people make neat flat walls (house walls) out of it, but I kinda like the uneven/natural look like Stevo's going for. Looks great.

Yes Janet, I took a better look at the photo. That is very nice.
That will be a big help in winter. Perhaps a 2" foam sheet in the ground against the greenhouse would help even more in the winter. That would isolate the greenhouse floor from the winter cold.

Thanks guys,
Yup Janet hit the nail on the head, I needed a retaining wall to keep the 3/4"stone foundation in place and level but also wanted it to be astheticly pleasing, I used blue stone. We are going to put some type of small fountain or water fall in the bumped out corner and then plant the other areas. I will prolly move my watermelon plants out there too (I had a bright idea to put 4 watermelon plants in the GH ). I also want to lay some paver stone
so we can make a small seating area.

Doug, I didn't think about insulating the base, that should help loads in winter!
