Wow all of a sudden it looks small!

Maybe we should start using 4000L tanks to show scale in pictures rather than dachshunds.

DD It is amazing how small the greenhouse looks now some how I thought the tanks would be smaller.
VB Thanks.
EB the big on e is 1.4m the small one is as EKB said 1.220m
Rupert VB is the guy I went with to get the tanks from Gympie.

I have ordered a 4000ltr tank from Foleys in wombye. This will be the sump tank for both the 2500ltr and the 1000ltr tanks. It will be below ground in front of the green house. It will pump to the tanks and the tanks and growbeds will gravity feed to the sump. No level change in the fish tanks. I will use the stand pipe configurations the same as VB. I have ordered the growbeds from Tilkey's the same as EKB. I am yet to decide on continuous pump on with autosiphons or timers with stand pipes? What do you guys think. Give me pros and cons please. Also what do you think about Sleepy Cod?

I think you should try both. Are you planning on using a single pump for all of them? If you use two pumps that adds some redundancy, and you could try both to see which you like better.

I like running the pump continuously. I think that's easier on the pump rather than starting and stopping.

I've already made my views known, so I am going to keep out of this one (though I agree with you Janet ).

I think you just have to try both AP... Every system is different, and you may find because of the slight neuonces of your system that one way works better than the other... And yes, go back to the previous pages where we discussed it in more depth, read through it all again... :?

Don't you hate it when there's no right or wrong answer.... ? :)

Ima continuous flow man also - setting up for 6 GBs flooded in sequence.

1,500lph = flood cycle 10 minutes (each GB flooded once/hour)

My pump size is 3,000lph with part of the outflow fed straight back to the tank

Thanks MF Yes it does feel good. Pickup the Growbeds tomorrow and assemble the rest of the greenhouse (the frame anyway) this weekend.

OK question. I have a sump on order 2.8m dia x .800 high approx 4900lts.
I have one tank 2500ltrs and another tank 1000ltrs. In total 10 growbeds appros 500lts each. I have talked about autosiphons with a continuous pump , or standpipes with the pump on timer, and as yet not deciced. The system design is to pump from the sump tank to the fish tanks wth standpipes in the tanks to keep the water level as is. Gravity feeds the growbeds and gravity drains the beds back to the sump. My question is Can I use just one pump to service both tanks at the same time? and let gravity do the rest.?
