That's a relief  . I'm not sure anyone could get it using road kill this way but some of your armadillos down there carry leprosy.

Is there a link for making a mineralization tank?

They don't have the best for searching.

https://www.google.com/#q=+mineralizati ... tube.com&*

There's about 200 + videos on u=tube.

Most times I just design what the customer wants for a DIY project.

One I'm working on is a 4 chamber, the first 3 are Anaerobic and the last is Aerobic before going back to the Bio-Filter exit flow to the GB's.

The solids after they are used in the Anaerobic chambers, are drained to a Drying bed.

Notice that sometimes mineralizers are used to generate more nitrates and other times they are used to reduce the nitrates. What they do depends on what process they are designed for anaerobic or aerobic. Most of the mineralizers here are aerobic and can be as simple as an aerated tank with a mixture of water and solids in it. The aerobic process breaks down the solids and generates nitrates among other things.

The anaerobic process releases nitrogen as a gas and generates some not to pleasant smelling gasses, some of which are flammable and toxic to fish - not to say the anaerobic process doesn't provide some useful end products for an AP system but enough of this usually goes on in parts of a system that you don't need to have an anaerobic mineralizer unless you are trying to lose nutrients like nitrates.

Yes for some systems, basically as long as this fits with the amount of solids you are flushing through and as long as there is adequate aeration to keep the Dissolved Oxygen levels up high enough to keep up with the demand. You'd also want to prevent any solids from leaving the bucket since you only want the nutrient rich liquid portion and you want the solids to continue breaking down. Shutting the air off and letting the solids settle before draining off some of the liquid is one way to do this. Another way would be to drain through the equivalent of a Static Upflow Filter where most solids would be captured.
