Hello everyone,

When I woke up this morning, I discovered a new insect. I would like to know his name and if it is harmful or useful? I have Springtails in my system for a few months, they are useful for the decomposition, so I tolerate them.

I add 3 photos of my new intruders, thank you for your help. There are several on my wheat grass, they are very little moving and make about 3 X 2 mm.

This is an aphid and you don't want these.

With a system in the house, how do I get rid of it?

Try a search for chili garlic spray. I think that would probably work for you.

Scotty do you mean just mash up chili and garlic and mix it with water?

Infuse it in boiling water for 15 minutes and let stand for 24 hours. Ideally soap is added so that it sticks to the leaves. There are plenty of essential herbs and oils that can be added to it.

I had used this outside several years ago, successfully. Thanks Scott, it helped me!

Seems like your aphid is missing a few parts.

I had once read about some Doctor something-or-another´s safe insecticide soap. Would anyone happen to know what I'm blabbing about and what it's for? I'm starting to get aphids again as well.

I do not know about the product you are talking about. I tried the infusion and my problem is almost solved! Just the infusion of herbs, without soap (this is not a good idea for fish!).

That's pretty cool. I'm going to give it a shot (without the soap)

You're probably thinking or Safer Soap Felix. I don't think I'd use it in AP, although it might be OK there are some home remedies that work, are easy and you have a better idea what you're putting into the system.
