Yes. Gravity is answering my question for me. I'll have to put in a wooden support system.

I propped up one side with wood and the other side sank. I then propped up the other side and the first one sunk. In order to avoid becoming a vaudeville routine I think I'll just build a wooden table. Thanks for the response.

Yep, self supporting barrels are really only suitable for expanded clay rather than rock media.
