Hi Mike, neat system!

I think your plants are using as many nutes as the GB's can produce.

Being a new system you may want to consider by passing your filters for a while so the GB's can get a stock pile of heavy crap in their bases. This will break down and form a nutrient bank of sorts. You may find the nitrates will rise again as you'd be letting more material into the GB's.

Thanks Pete, don't particularly wsnt to bypass the filter as I use the discharge from this to irrigate the regular vedgie patch. I figure the nutrients will develop in good time. That, and 2/3 of the filter flow bypasses the grow beds and circulates through filter as I seriously overestimated the capacity of the pump I needed......

If the nates get too low you might need to compensate with seasol instead of fish water.
