Redear sunfish or Bluegills might work but I'm not sure that they'd be compatible with what's in your system and they might not be able to get them all (Redears are better at it than Bluegills).

So after all these years the grow beds in both the indoor system and the one I have at the Arch Reactor Hackerspace are having issues. This one is cracked and almost drains water out faster than it can fill and the the other is bowed so bad that the standpipe does not allow a good gravel guard protection from the hydroton.

I know the cheep plastic totes are good for these kinds of systems but would making a fiberglass growbed these small sizes work? Thinking just a 3mm thick plywood box with a inside cote of fiberglass and the outside just coated in the resin.

I think Brian (Boss) did this and had some leakage but maybe he would have some insights on how he would do it differently this time.

Finally pulled this off my camera. It was recorded in January, but still the current state of the indoor system, but less water. I did pull the pepper plant last weekend out of the growbed and It was still somewhat alive. :dontknow:

I should have done a better shutdown of this system. Just let 10 gallons water with of grime and other nasties evaporate to a crusty dusty film on the glass. So much build up on the glass. Working just with the small sump right now and thinking of how to redo that whole setup.
