Hi There, :wave1:

Michael from Bibra Lake.

Been hanging around the forums for a while now but being fifo has been limiting on any plans i might have made.

Last night i threw a pod of water on the floor and have it circulating tap water for 18 hours now. Going to pickup a few aquatic creatures from the pet shop on the way home with my little guy having the final say. This should be interesting.

Ultimately after the water has been checked for the right parameters i'd like to have a crack at Marron. I've had a really good read through all the forums with keyword marron and it is a little daunting with all the negativity regarding stocking density BUT i do like a challenge and worse case scenario is a few $ wasted and a little feast of marron.

Going to buy perhaps 25 marron and see if i can keep them alive for a month or 3 before embarking on a large increase in stocking.

Down the track i'd like to introduce growbeds as added filtration and feed the family.

Thanks for reading, hope to talk to you all soon in other threads.

How did you go? I have a I recently increased my stock from 18 to 45 of various sizes, but had quite a high mortality rate recently. Interestingly its mainly the males that are dying (8 out of 10). I have since cleaned the tank and and added more vertical habitat.

I have a 1300lt tank with a grow bed above.
