+1 - glad to hear you're already on to getting the filter :thumbright:. A Static Upflow Filter is a good choice for suspended solids filtering.

Regarding the iron deficiency - what kind of iron are you using and how are you adding it (to the system water or as a spray directly on the plants)?

Cheers

I added AquaIron. I mixed it in a small water bottle a teaspoon at a time and poured it in through the vent in the pipe after the bio filter. I am seeing some results/improvements after a couple days. My ph is 7.4 so I am hoping it isn't all locked out until a can get the pH down.

I am quickly learning it is a delicate balancing act to get started.

Nice setup! Thanks for sharing the photos. I see a temp controller? And what is the small canister between the RFF and the DWCs?

Yes, it's a Finnex temperature controller for an 800 watt heater. It works fine until temps outside get below 50. I have another 500 watt heater to help keep it in the 70's. We don't wee much freezing weather but it was down to low 30's last week and the 80 watt struggled to keep temps above 65. The additional 500 helps.

The canister is a bio filter. It contains bioballs and I have an air pump agitating them and adding air to the system.
