Why didn't I plant more Snow Peas?

I planted a shit load of seeds a month or two back, could have been three, but only one sprouted. I think the use by date was somewhere closer to 2012, than 2016. Well, last weekend I pulled 320gm of peas off the one plant. Well, that many got inside anyway. After noon snack on sunday was peas!

Thought I'd make a stir fry with the rest of the peas, but the kids have been taking them to school for crunch and sip. They are so sweet, juicy and not at all tough. Going to do that again. Hopefully more spout next time.

Planted coriander and bock choy, thyme, basil and parsley.

Dug out my compost bin and no evidence of fish carcasses, so chucked in some more prawn shells and the SP that died before we went away, been in the freezer, as I couldn't part with it.

Hi doc,
Snow Peas are great even in soil. I planted some in my dirt garden back in SA and the kids were into them all the time. I didn't do well at much else but that was a winner. I have a veggie patch here which is overgrown as soon as it warms up a little I will be giving it some attention to clear it out and then I think a great idea is to grow a big batch of snow peas too!

Thanks for the reminder! :)

Regards, Martin.

More Mulberries than you can poke a stick at. Found a few that had dried out or fallen prematurely, and tossed them on the ground. Found out that the dog likes mulberries.

Had a major HSM the other week. Went out the to patch mid afternoon to find only about an inch of water in the FT and the pump outlet hanging over the side of the GB. Must have been knocked by something in the wind. All my fish were on their sides panting. Fortunately the weather hasn't been hot, and I quickly filled with tap water. Didn't bother trying to get rid of chlorine, just needed the H2O in there. Filled it about half way up and crossed my fingers.

I was shaken by the experience and had an empty feeling of dread in my stomach.

Suprisingly, no casualties!

Two weeks later Fish still alive. Topped up the tank and secured the outlet so it can't happen again.

Hey Doc, I haven't been around for a while (years actually!) any updates from your side?

Martin.
