I bought a r o filter,seems to run ok but I get a ph reading of 9.4 from the filter.It is a 50 gpd pure-flo filter.Is this normal or is something wrong.
I thought that I would get a nutral reading from the filter, so I am at a loss as to weather I am doing somthing wrong or not. I am using a ph device that has a battery and chemical drops also both show aa high ph .Need help if possible.

Thank you thomas

.
why do you think you need an RO.. Just curious

I gave up on them years ago when I realised how much water was "Waster" for the little product..
I have no idea of why the pH reading, but can only assume you are saying it is defferent to the INPUT pH..
There must be a practical reason.. eg. the high pH molecules being passed.. Curious..
..

I know ro is big in the aquarium hobby but, Imo, it's not really practical or beneficial for ap (unless you have really bad source water.) have you tested the source water for comparison? And is the high ph straight out of the filter? Or after contact with your media (Which is?)
