My Hippie motto from four decades ago still works today!

I've singlehandedly demolished our old house trailer. Now to find water lines and move dirt from around the solid rock we dug the water lines into some twenty years ago. Human power over horse power still works for me. It just hurts a bit more these days.


Every wheelbarrow of dirt that I dig out goes around to the other side of the house to bring the level of earth-sheltering up some.


Remove it from there and put it somewhere needed: Two birds one stone!

I still like Bobcats and diesel trucks! Good work Boss!

Thanks Coach. I do too, but we're in a tight space for this project and underfunded. I had a couple buddies over yesterday afternoon and together we knocked out a big section. They've agreed to come out again on Thursday. It is a big relief for us as I shouldn't be trying to push the wheelbarrow with my aching feet. Now it is the fish pond style of digging. Big rocks, which with a bit of luck, a touch of know-how and a lot of upper body strength, we will get it down to the level we need to have all the rooms in the house on the same level.
