Hi Seppeo,

Glad you've seen his thread. I doubt if the eggs are great for feeding Tilapia as they are truly tiny. The larvae however are quite a good size and a good supply of them would be outstanding protein for Tilapia. :thumbleft: :thumbright:

My black soldier fly larvae farming is going quite well. Only problem is I am not sure how to feed them to the tilapia. As the larvae are still way to big for the fingerlings.

I was thinking about freezing the larvae, to kill them and then dry them at 60 degrees Celsius for about 24 hours. Drying at 60 degrees will ensure that all the proteins and vitamins in their dont deteriorate right? After drying I will grind them up, mix with some soy beans, egg, yeast and vitamins to get a balanced food.
