I noticed one of my tilapia had babies yesterday, but today they're all gone.
I'm still new to aquaponics (this would have been my first set of new babies).
Is there some sort of reasonable explanation?
Are tilapia cannibalistic?
Do the babies ever return to the mom's mouth?

I'm not a Tilapia grower but they can be canabalistic and they are mouth brooders - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KsWGj_0k7s

They are most likely in mom or dads mouth. They live there as fry. Unless she got hungry. If the batch was defective she might eat them and start again.
