I am building a new small scale tank aquaponic system. what is the absolute best fish to use for this small tank and how many? tank is about 12" by 20" length and width.

12x20 is not that big, for eating fish, and so I would assume you would be looking at domestic fish, and so I would consider cichlds, of which tillapia are one breed.... but there may be many others preferred locally,

I know that a lot of members on here (myself included) use goldfish.
