VB, the difference was amazing. I will definately be purging all my fish. Absolutely no off flavours at all. Really really delicious.

OK, I'm going to have to try purging some silvers...

did you end up doing a side by side taste test at all, a purged one and a non purged? or is it just that obvious you dont need to..

it's just that obvious you don't need to. Keep in mind my nitrates are quite high, I am not sure how much effect this would have on the unpurged fish, but it is a factor... if you had nitrates of say 20 compared to say 160 that I am running, then it may be a different story. But in my case, no side by side required. Heather is happy as larry!

It was a real honour and privilage to be the official representative of the BYA forum for the first public tasting! I've eaten alot of fish in my time but this was the absolute freshest, from out of the bathtub to the BBQ via the kitchen bench. An absolute supurb dinner, company was pretty good too. My wife enjoyed the fish so much that she was oblivious to the fact that we spent the whole night talking about AP. Now she's seen Monyas system she's asking if I can make mine bigger and if I can get some barra. I told her that I dont mind investing the time + effort if she invests the money. (Perhaps its time to talk to her about the swimming pool conversion? Mental note - will need a very big heater!) I did try to convince her about using the bath, no luck so far.
Thanks Mon and Heather  FANTASTIC

p.s. Mon I noticed you were quick to post a comment about how much you ate before I got home and wrote something!

yep. stephen asked me if you had given me crap about that yet ROFL!

I think the fish have had enough of being in the bath. The last 7 (dinner with Mum and Dad) tomorrow night) have been in there since Tuesday. Every now and then they start racing around the bath at very high speed. I was getting the kids toothbrushes out of the drawer when one came flying out of the bath and landed on the step, I picked him up and popped him back in. Maybe they are hungry (der) and bored so they think races are a good idea! It's getting weirder and weirder at our place LOL

KE, I reckon you sweet talk Athena enough, that pool is yours!
