Good morning everyone,

Firstly, I would like to thank Joel for adding me.

I'm a small backyard aquaponic enthusiast from Perth Western Australia. I have an aquaponic system setup with 3 tanks and around 1000 baby fish in a seperate tank. I have succesfully added Mullet from the ocean and introduced it to my aquaponics system. I also hope to gain valuable information from Backyard aquaponics and its members.

Welcome to the community.. one of pure addiction ..

It will be interesting to hear about the whole system, as having 1000 babies is, well, extreem..!

I thought I was bad with an original 150 and now down to 100

I too have some mullet.. and looking forward to see how they develop.. I'm keen to net some more..
..
Peter

Hi there

I am also in Perth - built and moved into my own place in byford about 6 months ago and am going to (hopefully!) build a nicely integrated aquaponics system into my backyard landscaping (very small yard)

Would love any advice from any of you other Perthies! Will be a while yet before I even start setting up my system - funds and time permitting but looking forward to it.

I am kind of in same boat, I have limited space, know the system I am buying, now I just have to design it in such a way the missus doesn't make me live in it if I take over whole yard... lol
Cant offer any real advice as I know less than 99.9999% of people here. but in the two weeks I've known about it, learn fast :)

How do Mullet go in an aquaponics system?

Does anyone know if they are the same Mullet as here in South Australia?
