Jamie, I can not get into my web site either.

I am headed out the door to a party (that takes precidence), but I will have to address this issue and add the new pictures. I will work on it Sunday and Monday nites. I only work occassionally, but Monday to Wednesday, I have contract work to do. I will use the evenings to get my web site in order.

Thanks for the heads up. I do not know when this happened. Maybe I did not pay my bill and they turned out the lites. Time will tell.

Interesting F&F. I still can not get into www.thebasbergs.com and it is my site. Those are very old pictures you saw there. I have not updated the site since 2006. Sunday nite I will try to find what the problem is and get updated pictures uploaded. As soon as I have done that, I will post here that they are ready. Just got home from a party...need sleep, then tomorrow I will plant my outside garden. The aquaponic plants are really growing and I have some small zucs coming along.

DB, gives me a hosting.xp dialogue box asking for username/password...

Either a "sharing/privelege" problem or (as you're having problems yourself) an "ownership/privelege" problem. Suspect the later.

Check the ownership rights, perhaps they were reset by default from a parent folder.

If it's not your own system hosting the web page then contact the host ISP... suspect this is probably the case... should be able to fix in a jiffy

OK. It appears I have fixed my web site problem...I had protected the wrong directory. So my latest photos are under greenhouse at www.thebasbergs.com

The dead fish count is over 20 of 525. I need to work offsite tomorrow. When I get home, I am going to net out as many dead fish as possible and inspect them. Then I will contact my fish source for advice and start a new count of dead fish. I wonder if lime from my new concrete tank is causing the problem. Their appetite appears poor to me (but then I have no experience). The pH is 8.5, the well water is 8.0 so the concrete has probably made the water more alkaline. DO = 8.5, NO2 ~0.1ppm, NH3/NH4 ~0.

As a work around people.... go here .... www.thebasbergs.com/index.htm .....

DB, if you click your link, it brings up a password dialogue box.... if you cancel the dialogue box then your url translates as "www.basbergs.com/thebasbergs.com/index.htm".....

sounds like you've got a recursive address translation somewhere

Edited : ooooops jumped the gun.... link to photos brings up page which suggests a link that's not there ... source for "photo.htm" is incomplete..... even your "ftp" link isn't working.... ultimately points to a protection/access problem also

The web page works, but there's nothing on the photo page. -- but that's OK, your fish are more important than pictures on a website. Enjoy your fish.

Yes, I am working off site, my wife is in Greece. People are doing contract work for me. The fish are dieing (30 so far). My 3 acres of grass look like a wheat field.....etc.

I did find that I had an incorrectly protected directory and fixed it, but I am also challenged for login again. That index file bypass does not get you even to the correct home page. The correct home page had top and side mneus, a theme, etc. I am using front page to upload this web site. With those extensions enabled, the FTP is blocked. The Frontpage has nothing to do with the problem. It is my domain management on the server that is set incorrectly. Sorry for the false alarm about it being ready. I will get it straightened out, but not right now. I will post when I have it working.

Again, sorry!
