I like the "What would you build..." concept.
I personally am an aggregator that loves getting a whole bunch of different perspectives and divining what is going to work best for me.

Anyone want a stack of past issue Earth Garden magazines that will teach you everything you ever need to know?

My mum is clearing out her library and is willing to send them to any worthy home for free.

Joel gets first option if he wants them, but then a school , then a library, then anyone.

How does it feel to be last on the list everyone (including me)

G'day Bullwinkle II

We would be interested in a complete year if they are still giveaway

Thanks

Bon & Mark

Bullwinkle,, (sob sob(d) I was a green thumb finger gardener until ....well it was a long time ago and I thought I would try fishing but well nobody taught me I just tried things out of left field, I didnt know you could buy equipment but I was using my green thumb and this particular cold day down in the jill billy area of Tasmainia I got my thumb taken my this ENORMOUS BIG brown trout, so there I was middle of foriegn land, missing a thumb, no fish and blood going everywhere. So I put my thumb into the soil and the nutrients from thumb started things to grow..... crazy I thought and thats how Ive been doing it ever since,
and now there are books and magazines to teach me ....WOW Amazing..... so I can travel by donkey over to Adelaide in 2 weeks time and collect this wealth of knowledge and information to learn from...and then there is recycling if they dont make my garden grow I can reuse them in my worm beds and eat fatter worms.

Do I Win? :laughing3: :bootyshake:

I'm not sure if this was a claim to them or not :)

Tonzz?

Opps. I still haven't done anything about those magazines. We might be visiting family in Mt Barker next weekend, so perhaps we can drop them off then.

PM an address

Sorry :shame mode on:

But on the up side, my insanely gold, goldfish just had babies!

The babies are completely see-through, and so small that they almost aren't.

Make sure you keep them in another tank, otherwise they'll get eaten quickly.

They are already gone :(

I now have a bucket with gauze over the top that I'm adding eggs to. I'm collecting the eggs twice a day from the weeds I have in there, and putting half in the bucket running the same water they were laid in, and the other half get moved into my little aquarium on my desk.

If I had planned a little better, I would have had 10 bunches of weed that I could rotate in and out of the main tank.

Oh well, there seems to be 40 eggs a day or so.

I had hoped to raise them for sale, but I think I might have missed out this year as a result of being at my normal level of organization.

I had some more fish eggs and also some more hatchings but I think I wiped them out.

I've been getting gold goldfish eggs on every warm day and counted 31 hatchlings at one stage, but managed a nitrites spike of 5 :(

I think I might have killed a few.

I can only count 11 now, but the others might be hiding.

I have them in a small aquarium that's nearly half filled with clay balls from my grow bed (to act as a growbed). This was keeping my water readings at all zeros, but I must have dumped too much food in.

After a few days of trying, I finally managed to get a pic of them.

The one in focus is called George, and so is the other one.

We found years ago that it was best to always name your goldfish the same name, as that way you don't spend all your life in mourning (due to the local Kingfisher population enjoying the fruits of our pond)

So here are George and George...

I wish I could see into my digestive tract like you can with George.

It defines him/her.
