These goldfish are TINY (only 6-7cm) and of course my two eldest girls wanted the WHITE goldfish so trying to find them in a WHITE IBC tank is a challenge! May have to buy some dark pebbles to scatter on the bottom just to make the fish easier to see lol!

white ones will be easy to see if they ever go in the main FT in the shed - maybe your daughters considered that in their choice [not].....

dont worry about the water conditioner. Simply fill a couple of 20L buckets with tap water and leave for 24 hours, ideally in the sun. Will gas off no problems and much cheaper. Your IBC running for 48 hours or so would have been fine.

splash looks good - that works. For tiny fish in a large IBC it will be some time before filtering becomes an issue.
Just the algae to watch. One thing you can do as it warms up is get a couple of algae eaters (get chinese algae eater - common sucking loach) or couple yabbies - they will eat the excess fish food and nibble at the algae.

Yabbies minor risk but only if fish are stupid enough to swim up to them or their hides......
