now i don't like this song anymore

had a thunderstorm and ONLY MY HOUSE tripped.

i usually goes back home during lunch time but this time i did not.

someone rear ended me a few days ago and this day i went to the workshop to appraise the cost of repair and since it is raining i opted not to go home ( am using a bike )

imagine that i am also very close to my home all the time but yet something tells me , nah....raining, go back to work

i have a battery back up system installed - that can only last me something like 4 to 5 hrs max

but....................

this is what i got when i reached home at 8 pm after work...

just can't describe the feeling... :upset:

lost i think almost 99% - 35 plus koi + 100 plus tilapia

left with mebbe 15 tilapia only...

I think the lesson is that you need backup that lasts longer than the maximum time you are away from your system

prolly 2 things

1. me being fickle minded - wanna come home or not ?

2. Thailand Super International World Class wiring/workmanship ,

- their level of understanding and responsibility and attitude towards their work. my house flicker whenever i switch on certain lights .

had a 'contractor' who did for me the renovation and wiring - oh my.... no junction box,no wires terminal , all just twist and wire taped over.

it leaks like a waterfall whenever it rains

and now nowhere to be seen - after collecting money of cos.

and the best part ? - came ( read properly ) at 7:15 in the morning days earlier to collect money - when the date for payment is already agreed upon.

afraid that i will RUN away.

it's him , not me who ran away.

so,this time the house trip during a thunderstorm and so it happens...

but then, i have already made up my mind....going back....so won't be expanding/adding any more thing.

..
And likely good to have an alarm that wouldst IF the power fails AND a friendly neighbour who might tell you that there is a strange sound from your house..

I know your distress.. been there a few times, and still not confident why some fish die in one of my systems..

Used to take four days to die, but now 21 days.. ??? Must be about time I tried it again to see how long now..
KOI DO FINE.. I do suspect it is Zinc contamination, that despite water changes, remains an issue.. ie.. it was absorbed by the clay and continues to leach out.. :-(
..

Get a power monitor that can send you a text message/email when it fails. There are many on the market.

You can DIY with an Arduino extremely easily.
