Hi all
Based in South Africa, JHb, I'm new to this. I'll post pics as we go along but here's a pic of my growth bed which I'll clad with pine from pallets, line with pond liner and then install my own "Bell Siphon'
My pond has a mixture of Koi and comets and has a capacity of 1380l approx. The system should be up and running by 1 Sept, our spring. I'm keen to use Polyester batting which is dirt cheap. Cheers
Nick

Brand new to the game and excited. Already have koi pond/water feature and busy building growbed 2m x 350mm x 350mm. Might use polyester to kick off with. Pond is 1380l and has koi and comets as residents. Tilapia an option but they don't co-exist well with other species. pics to follow!

Self explanatory- 110mm pvc, brian showing off etc. The window box will be mounted shortly below the window sill and the tubes moved higher into the eaves, allowing the water to fill the box. The box will use flood/drain. Four gardens in one. The temps in JHB are peaking at 30c at the mo and all the herbs are due fresh after a week of torture

I've heard chillies can cross pollinate. Not sure if peppadews and jalapenos will have this problem. Did you manage to sort out your bell siphons? Only saw your message in December.
