It's been in the seventies yet, but we just installed the chimney for the boiler yesterday. Ready for cold!. The growth has been amazing. The fish stare at me like they always need a treat for being good fishes...haha

Benny! Awesome looking growth there buddy. How are the fish doing? Show us what that boiler plumbing looks like. Are you heating the GH or the water?

Coach, I'll take pics of the boiler today. It'll heat the air as well as the water. I ran four zones in the concrete. One to heat the water returns, the other three to heat the floor. I knew it would be a challenge to keep the water warm enough for the tilapia and redclaw. I'm hoping that this setup will work, I really think it will. The temps are starting to drop in michigan at night, so we installed the boiler chimney the day before yesterday. I still have to install the boiler control panel. I'll have this done in the knick of time...as usual for me... I don't seem to finish anything until the last minute.

In the tennis world, we spent nine days in New York, watched a bunch of great matches at the open. Now Bennet has a tournament just about every weekend between now and the end of the year. Next weekend, a regional tourney in Cincinnati...should be fun

I used to love playing tennis. It was about the only thing I was competitive about. I see Hulu Plus has added about a million channels to their streaming venue. I hope they have sports. We haven't had broadcast TV in decades, I miss watching tennis. I think big things are occurring for Internet TV, I hope so. Dog shows would be great to see again, yay.
What kind of boiler are you using? We're getting ready to install a Douglas Fir floor in our living room. My wife asked if I (we) were ever going to connect the four hundred feet of PEX in the concrete. Originally I was going to hook it to the wood stove, but I got it in my head that it would suck too much BTUs from the fire. It needs a good boiler.

I got one of those out side furnaces/boiler, it has a 200 gallon water jacket, non pressurized and runs at 180F, works fantastic. I have in the indoor garden/wintergarden dirt floor with astro turf and have pex about a foot deep in the ground, works great. Switched the house to baseboard radiators. 80 plus F inside and -30 outside, just dandy.
I load the furnace in the morning and evening

I'll check what kind it is when I get home, it's a 1970's gem. 2 separate water jackets, excessively thick steel, weights 8 billion lbs..lol

Wood floors are great. I own a wood container manufacturing business and play around with wood walks on occasion. My house is 50% walnut

Here's the wall of a restaruant I did a few months ago. I find that working with nicer wood is a good stress reliever.

Doweled and glued old table-top for a replacement desk-top for my wife. I think it is walnut. Seems soft

That looks like walnut. It's a hardwood that's rather susceptible to dings and dents. It's not extremely dense, but it's beautiful. I love the look of walnut with a clear lacquer finish. It really brings out the colors of the wood, and walnut can vary a lot
