POMPANO... interesting that no one has considered it IF it is a valued consumption fish..
Surely there must be a practical reason why????

I posted a YouTube vid and some fresh Pompano fillets a few years ago in my thread that I got from a friend down at harbor branch university who is one of the guys working in the field of "multitrophic aquaculture".

Why isn't everyone doing it? It's HARD and very capital intensive! :) which is why so much money is bieng dumped into research and replicated experiments. Some people have a hard time growing lettuce and Tilapia... Add in another 10 organisms/loops with specific needs and your head will spin.

Skeegs- they are estuarine fish and can be adjusted to 2-3ppt salinity though they are growing saline crops such as Salicornia, Sea kelps and marine algaes in conjunction with the fish. Some are edible products, some are used for feeding larval finish and some will be sold into the Pharma/cosmetics industry. Different end products but still extremely valuable if marketed right. Local grown Nori? Maybe in a few years!
