Thanks Darren, my trout would find them yummy I bet lol,,
But I could put couple in an see what happens

they are pretty expensive as feeder fish
I suspect if its good for trout not so good for em anyway - opposite ends of the seasonal spectrum.

They would only work as something for when things warm up and algae kicks in, maybe with young SP.
Work well with Goldfish.

Hi Hezzy, I did catfish in a overwintering tank in my shed a few years ago viewtopic.php?f=18&t=15964&hilit=overwintering

Joel had them at the BYAP (cheidy's) shop as well.

Hey Charlie
Did they go ok in the end or did u get diseases with them.
I would love to put a couple in my little 250 litre yabbie tub or even in big tank seperate from silvers as long as they don't desiese my fish with anything.
Should be ok if I get them from pet shop

No diseases mate, I moved them to the AP when the weather warmed and they had some size about them at that stage and they survived the next winter when I sold my system. I got to see them the following summer before I left town but haven't heard from the new owner since.

Usually when you get them from pet shops they will be quite small so try time it for the warmer weather as they won't cope when small.
