Damn, to think I've always thrown one of the best bits of the fish to the dog... Yep, VB is right on the money, cooked on a flat solid piece of steel with the gas flame under it..

Here's a picture of them cooking so that you can see the two halves of the bbq, half grill, half solid plate. This is very common over here in Australia, and I've found, perhaps just from habit, that I tend to use the solid plate almost all the time, I hardly use the grill side at all.

Thought I'd update with some pics of my system ATM... Not much to report, things are ticking along nicely, fish are eating well and healthy, plants are suffering a little from grubs so I went and got some Dipel on the weekend just waiting for the wind to settle down a little so that I can spray the little buggers..
