Mushrooms are organisms and Yeasts do not produce the fruiting bodies we call Mushrooms.


GMM = Genetically Modified Microorganism. A GMM (such as a yeast) produces a product (omega 3 oils), then is killed. A GMO is the product. There is no risk of contaminating the environment, or spreading GM genes with a GMM.
