"It seems as a it progresses, plans constantly change, but all seems to work out well" A testament to how well you improvise.

Benny,

Looking good.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to stop by. We were in Houghton and then up in Traverse City.

Coach, I was in traverse city Friday..lol

Bennet played in a local level five this weekend in 14's and 16's. We don't usually let him double up, but we didn't think more than a handful of local kids would show up. But, as luck would have it, a bunch of top kids from around the state showed up, so two brackets was tough on Bennet. He had four battles in 90 degree heat Saturday. He did great though, he won the consi finals in 16's and lost in the finals of 14's. He was the 1 seed in 14's, but the kid he lost to just got home from nationals, and Bennet has gone to tie break with him three times in the past. Proud of him though, he's putting it together...he's going to be tough to beat soon. He beat a couple juniors in the 16's, not bad for an eighth grader

Yeah, your right about Bennet. Playing up, as long as you can compete is always a plus for development. My daughter and other players on our club team played up 3-4 years, and it helped them immensely. That's one of the reasons they all ended up with college scholarships. We played boys teams a lot also. Faster and more physical...just like college.

We were at the NW state fair all day Wednesday, then stopped in to town for dinner before heading back to Houghton and a night fishing trip.

Does Bennet want to play at Michigan? I think you said your brother-in-law went there. He should be looking for a top 5 in state ranking, and top 100-150 in the nation...unless he has good connections. Sounds attainable from where he's at now. Good luck! Make sure he keeps his grades up...3.5 or better.

Well, I learned a valuable lesson... Apparently 4 mil plastic isn't quite thick enough for a liner. I had to redo both growbeds. Oh well, learning curve...lol

I drilled holes in my wife's Tupperware and placed the air stones in them with rocks for weight. Hopefully they won't wear holes in the liner.
