Thanks for that. I used to do tile and pavers for a living. Took me about 30 minutes but my kid had slung all the sand in there before I got home from work so all I had to do was the screed work and get to it! I need to get a new pic of the finished product, have one more row installed to finish it up, for a place to stand on the pump end, and have shale around the house drain to trim it out :thumbleft:

10 days into fishless cycle. Funny thing, a smallmouth bass showed up a couple days ago and has been hanging out. He is still happy and eating.

Movin right along. Got tired of cycling and waiting for something to happen so got an aquarium filter from a friend and things really took off!

Dropped seed Monday evening and have sprouts today! (two days tops!)
Have a 1/2 lb smallmouth bass in the tank that my boy threw in there. He seems very happy and has a ravenous appetite.

I was worried about ammonia buildup and the Nitrates kicked in today like gangbusters and the ammonia is already tailing off.

Well, two months in. Caterpillars hit the leafy greens twice so that set me back a month. Thought they were falling out of "the" tree.
Got a clear roof up...
40% shade cloth seems to be good for Texas August heat.
Adding MaxiGrow
Fixing to add Nutrients tommorrow
System cycled great, water and bacteria in great shape.
Introduced 16 tilapia about 2 weeks ago. They are fat and very happy.
Heat seems to be wilting/killing the tender greens off day by day. Might be the heat, might be the Potassium. We will see.

Two week old pic of finished project....
