It has been a while since I posted here - mostly because I have not done much to Cheyenne's Memorial garden...
Last weekend saw the 6 month mark of her death, which weighed heavily upon the entire family :( ... and it also served to remind me that it was time I put my bum into gear and force myself to work on the memorial again...
I wondered down to the partially started pionds and examined them today - found that there wer dozens of tiny tree frog tadpoles swimming about in the half filled ponds - and there were some baby tree frogs on the edge of the ponds too. So life was abounding in the ponds - the mozzie eating guppies were/are still doing well so that was good too :)
So, today I cemented some rocks into place which will form the stream's path, then laid a shallow layer of cement... will buy some more in a week ro so and finish cementing the stream's path then.

I have found a way to include aquaponics into it all too... I want to try include a grow bed above the preposed waterfall, and fill it with elephant ears (it will also help screen out the boarders when they are using the pool :)

Damn - I got my picture editing software loaded today, loaded images fromcamera and found that most were blurred - only the frog image was clear (from the set taken of the memorial progress)
