I demolished the bathroom in June '05, hurt my back and couldn't finish it. Paid a tiler to do a very average job a few months ago, and the bath resurfacing asnd shower screen will complete the job, yep a 2 year project. Heather is a very patient person

I probably missed the beginning of the barra bath saga... but I must ask... you did thoroughly clean the bath prior right? Soap products are particularly nasty to fish.

What you should do is install a garbage disposal unit in you shower... ala Kramer and prepare all your meals from the bathroom.

Hey Tim, I didn't even think of that, but it got a rinse and the kids don't use "soap" products as such, so far the fish are fine. They must be tough buggers considering the treatment they are receiving. ie no heater, sub 20 temp, salt (which they don't mind) no regard to ph, daily change out with rainwater. If you treated most ornamentals like that you would have none left after one day LOL.

I will report though, the water is crystal clear, took very little time to clear up at all.

The fish are looking great in the bath. One was seriously unwell when I put it in, it was lolling around, playing dead, looking quite blotchy etc,now it is looking exactly the same as the others and swimming around happily even though the water is less than 20 degs. Little do they know in 24 hours they are dinner!
