Yea, after re-reading it, that's probably what was meant, but you'd need a fair bit of lime juice to have much of an effect. Lime as in Ca(OH)2 is what most people add to AP systems, not lime juice, which as Scotty points out, may have undesirable effects on the bacteria.

Pretty sure they were thing lime the fruit. but, same idea as lemons(any citric acid). Bad idea, antibacterial properties. Since your system is relatively new, your 7.0 PH target is fine. I would however try and shoot for closer to 6.5 after the system matures. That's the best range for plant nutrient uptake. Anywhere in that 6.5-7 will give you good growth. I just notice better growth around 6.5-6.8.
