Hey Mon... easy to say for us over here on the South Coast NSW....

We had 150mm+ in two days.... that's follow up from 10-20mm every three or four days over the last six weeks.....

Things are so green here you go inside for a cup of tea and come outside with a machettee just so you can hang the washing out LOL

Well its raining here now but we have only had a few showers. Was over at my neighbours yesterday and he has basically no feed. Nothing. Thankfully we have kept ourselves understocked for the last few years but if this keeps up it is going to be interesting come august/september. In fact it still could be. Even if this lot of rain turns out be a good downpour it will only do any good for our area if it warms up again n the next week. If it donsn't then we will get stuff all growth until spring.

Fantastic Monya. It has been very slow to get going here in Geelong, but at 3.30am seems to have settled in.

We`ve had 15C today, quite a drop from the record 26C we had this month.
Plenty of rain about though and alledgedly temps up to 22C next week.

Wow... that low off NZ certainly sucked the rain bearing cloud over NSW like a straw..... bit of a bummer.....

Be interesting to see if the rest gets sucked up from around Bass Strait as well into a deep low off the NSW North Coast..... floods for Lismore/Ballina/Grafton/Coffs Harbour ?????

Or whether it just gets sucked out over the Tasman and deepens the NZ low further .... good surf for Taranaki and Raglan NZ for the next week LOL

Watch that really intense low coming up from Antartica.... lots of COLD air in that system behind the front.... early snow for Tassie and Vic ???? see what happens over the next two days.... might just swing down and clip the bottom of Tassie

Yeah we only had 8mm overnight which is a far cry from the 20-40mm they were talking. Still, that's another thousand litres of water in the tanks so gotta be good. Will see if we get any more over the wknd.

Hey Ems, we quantify a scorcher as anything over 48 C

We had an inch of rain here yesterday, fantastic except it made the yabbies feet itch and they went walkies. Amazing how far they got. climbed up the pipe from the pump then fell off the fridge and headed for the dam. Don't know how many we lost but we were overstocked anyway.
Up to 8 inches across part of the place for the year. Amazing stuff when we only had 2 measily inches in the 2 years preceding. There's Hope yet, but then again, hope is a 4 letter word.

I'm sorry to say Mon but the rain we've had in Adelaide (non stop for the last 72 hours) has got nothing to do with yur naked rain dance - its because we've started the renovation on our house last week and pulled down a couple of walls out the front. Now the house is breezy cold and wet, and the front yard is a muddy mess. To the people of Adelaide, I'm sorry we didn't start the demolition a couple of months ago.

Had another 8mm last night, 31mm for the week. I have emptied 300lts out of the 1000lt ibc into the main tank each day for the past 3 days. Also filled 2 of the bigger wheelie bins from it. Main tank now has 10000lts in it and i can see it being full with another inch of rain.
I have no money but would love to get another big tank, if i could pay it off on the drip. Catching rainwater from the roof makes me feel good.
