Hi,
Can anyone more knowledgable than I, tell me what has happened to my caulie (other than the obvious)! I have a few others looking similar. They just aren't forming tight heads.

It is planted in a wicking bed in my hybrid system, which unfortunately has crappy soil in it. I have added trace elements, mushroom compost, worm juice, seasol & mulch. The leaves also become quite limp although it is cool here & they are in moist soil.

I am guessing I am missing some vital elements, but not sure which ones.

Any advice will be greatly received,

Cheers.

Looks like it bolted to me.

Do you have any sort of fruiting fertiliser in there? Potash?

Loose cauliflower is caused by plant getting too hot, too cold, too much nitrogen and inconsistent watering - it's a very picky plant to grow.

Thanks. I have grown the mini cauliflowers, but I felt they took up a lot of space for not a lot of return, so planted these this year. I might plant a few more seedlings before I give up.
