The fish did not jump out of my tank. It was when we were transferring them to my truck.
The fish were in a roof top system 50’ upstairs. We put the fish in 5 gallon buckets to transfer them.
One jumped out at about the 15’ off the ground.

They have not even came up to the top of our fish tank yet. Our tank is covered.

Here are our fish eating. Only a few are coming to the top to eat. Does it just take some time before they all come to the top to eat?
We have never raised fish before so this is all new to us.

Thanks. I like your pond.

I emptied the radial flow filter into the grow beds. I really do not have a very big fish load at this point.
So I just put solid pipe in my radial flow filter to bypass it completely. My plants need all the nutrients they can get.

I put a 100 foot black tubing on some pond liner on the ground to help heat up the water. I was able to get the fish tank to 85 degrees today. The fish were happy and very active.

I ordered 500 red worms for my bed I should get them next week.

The boys and I went and picked up some more fish. We got 30 bluegill and one catfish.
Now we have a total 60 fish that will be good for now.
I bought 25 but he gave me 30 incase a couple of them don't make it.

It was fun to see the catfish go right to work cleaning up the tank.
Everybody survived the night. I did an ammonia test today 2 hours after I fed them and it was 0.

About a week ago I broadcast some lettuce seed in a couple spots. Here is what it looks like so far.

I bought a new Milwaukee MW600 dissolved oxygen meter off eBay for $69 shipped.
I have been looking at them and I was not sure I was going to get one because they are so expensive.

I know this one is an entry level one but for this deal I will give it a shot.

I finally added a shade canopy. This is really going to help the fish.
Yesterday we lost power and we were not home. My neighbor check on them for me and they were fine. I was still 1 hour away. When I got home I connected up my 12 volt air pump and power came on in about an hour.
All the fish are fine.
The plants are starting to do better

Looking good.

I hope your shade tent doesn't become a 4 legged Kite.
