Trying my hand at growing hot peppers in my AP system - Trinidad Scorpion, Ghost, and Habanero peppers

What would be the ideal system cycle time? Want to make sure they don't get overwatered.

My current system cycles approximately every twelve minutes. Considering putting the hot peppers in a separate grow bed so I can slow the cycle time if necessary.

There is no ideal cycle time. You can't really overwater them, they'll just take up what they need.

Peppers will grow just find in constant flood systems (no flood and drain), and DWC systems, as long as the water is oxygenated.

Any cycle time will work fine.

On youtube there is a channel called Bigelow Brook Farms, and Rob (who is also a member on here, I just cant remember his user....) did a video comparison of two plants started at the exact same time, but one was oxygenated. at the end of the two week comparison (I think it was two....), the plants that were oxygenated were twice as large as the ones without oxygen.

I'm trying my hand at some hot peppers too! I've planted Habenero, Super Chili, Ring of Fire, Hot Lemon, Cayennetta F1, Hungarian Yellow Wax, and Thai Dragon peppers.

My system is still only about 2 weeks old so I can't really speak to their success too much, but in the week since I planted them they look to be doing pretty well.

I currently run my pump 25 mins on/35 mins off. My GB's flood in 6 mins and drain in 13 mins, so my beds start filling on the hour, are "full" after 6 mins, then are "empty" after 38 mins, and stay "empty" for another 22 mins.

I grew some bumper crops of chilli and capsicum in CF without any issues.

They we're a capsicum variety from a local plant nursery, coach. Im not sure what type sorry.

The orange ones at the right hand side of the picture look interesting. Must be a very juicy and mild variety by the looks of it.

I reckon mrs charlie would like them Milne.
