I blame Rodger Daltrey of The Who. Somewhere between Soho and Brighton this member of, ‘My Ge...Ge...Generation” got stuck in a time loop.
However I am very concerned by your ocular difficulties!
When faced with a similar impediment Nelson was reported to have said,”I see no ships”
Now faced with the might of the French and Spanish ships off Cape Trafalgar this may be viewed as an inspired gesture.
However, as I understand it; The mighty Murray River is no boating lake!
I urge you to visit a purveyor of fine spectacles before embarking.
Snails:
A long time ago in Southern Spain my youngest daughter aged four, smuggled snails into the house. Forty plus in a shoe box. Holes punched in the top so they could breath and lettuce for food.
We settled down to watch TV
Suddenly from her room we heard screams!
Caracoles! Caracoles!
Not long in Spain, Her Spanish language skills were way in advance of ours.
You did not need a dictionary to understand her panic.
Snails everywhere on the walls and ceiling!
Your right never turn your back on a snail.
OR a four year old!

RE: that fish sling...

If its real, it looks like slightly elastic bandage that's been sewn.

I'm guessing all the other fish kids tend to laugh at that style of goldfish anyway, but it must be going through hell at the moment.

Anyone want a stack of past issue Earth Garden magazines that will teach you everything you ever need to know?

My mum is clearing out her library and is willing to send them to any worthy home for free.

Joel gets first option if he wants them, but then a school , then a library, then anyone.

How does it feel to be last on the list everyone (including me)

Building a travelling hippy library (Joel?:) ) just selfishly want to keep them for the post zombie apocalypse? Either way she loves your work.

I don't care why you want them, but state you're case and let my mum decide.

Probably best to restrict it to local pick-up as Mum wont want to pay postage. (Adelaide)

Actually I'll let anyone decide. If you are a school or something, you win. If nobody like a school or similar chimes in within a few days, just sing out and you can have them, but leave it until... say the tenth of June before grabbing them in case they can go to a better home than you :)

They include a story written by mum as she won her first years subscription for an article she wrote.
Actually they wont.

I'll take that issue.

Bullwinkle,, (sob sob(d) I was a green thumb finger gardener until ....well it was a long time ago and I thought I would try fishing but well nobody taught me I just tried things out of left field, I didnt know you could buy equipment but I was using my green thumb and this particular cold day down in the jill billy area of Tasmainia I got my thumb taken my this ENORMOUS BIG brown trout, so there I was middle of foriegn land, missing a thumb, no fish and blood going everywhere. So I put my thumb into the soil and the nutrients from thumb started things to grow..... crazy I thought and thats how Ive been doing it ever since,
and now there are books and magazines to teach me ....WOW Amazing..... so I can travel by donkey over to Adelaide in 2 weeks time and collect this wealth of knowledge and information to learn from...and then there is recycling if they dont make my garden grow I can reuse them in my worm beds and eat fatter worms.

Do I Win? :laughing3: :bootyshake:

This from hereis slightly interesting re: Boston's water supply and added bi-carb(ish)...

"[stuff removed] the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority adds sodium carbonate to the water from the Quabbin Reservoir in order to decrease the leaching of copper and lead from old pipes.” The addition of sodium carbonate, a chemical cousin to baking soda, increases the pH level of Boston’s drinking water to approximately 9.3 "

From time to time I check my Google presence against say... Doogie Houser MD's to see where my blog is sitting in relation to other non-famous characters, and today found this...

How to print colour to a fishing lure - Deutsch - Instructables
www.instructables.com/id/How-to-print-c ... re/?lang...
How to print colour to a fishing lure. von BullwinkleII.

von BullwinkleII !!!

I know it doesnt mean anything but there are no hits for von Doogie Houser, so.... that's a win

Neil Patrick Harris. He used to forever be emblazoned in my mind as Doogie Houser, now he is Barney.

You know the IBC of aquaponics.

I wonder if it might be worth putting another document together along the lines of, "what would you build if you were starting out in aquaponics".

Call it something like "what would you build if you were starting out in aquaponics", or sommit.

There would of course be a downside in that there would be so many different approaches, but personally I would have loved a "20 different approaches to aquaponics" when I first landed in aquaponics land.
