I've been to quite a few seminars and workshops over the years. Some were good, some not so good. This was easily the best I've ever attended. Ryan was amazing and very accomodating. Took as much time as needed with everyone present to make sure you understood exactly how and why each process works. I love learning from someone that has walked the walk and not just a professor lecturing, and as anyone who has seen Ryan's plants can see, he is the best. The farm is a testament to what a person with passion and a work ethic can do. I'm sure the proceeds from the training will go to very good use...and that is another reason I feel very good about the last 4 days. Thanks!

I'd be a poor guest if I didn't also mention the woman behind the man. Mrs. C was charming and a huge asset during the 4 days. Also Ryan's brother and right hand man was a great help. If you want to learn how to do AP on a commercial level, or just design and maintain the best system possible, this workshop is probably the best in the world. Ryan shared so many secrets and cost saving measures, that you really can't afford not to attend if you're serious about a commercial system, and even for a rank amatuer liek myself, it will pay for itself in both efficiency and production.

I second Chris's sentiment! It was a fantastic workshop and I learned a ton. Ryan was so helpful and patient in making sure everyone understood the concepts as well as using more advanced techniques like O2 cones as an example. He is a great teacher and his setup was amazing to see and eat some of his tomatoes and cukes. It is going to save me a ton of money on my current install just by learning some of the formulas for pipe sizing and flow speed. I read about them in the Recirc aquaculture book but he made it much easier to understand.

Thank so much Ryan!

Coachchris - it was great meeting you as well!

Just finished reading all the thread from the beginning, Ryan your work is really AMAZING, you are awesome! I've discovered AP recently and so I've started browsing the internet to get more and more information, until a couple of days ago when I've found this forum and this thread, a gold mine of informations!
I've decided to register on the forum not only to partecipate in the future (I hope I'll be able to start my own backyard system one day), but especially because I wanted to thank Ryan and all the other people that have posted all their questions (and, of course, Ryan's answers) that often have cleared those I had myself.
I feel like I've learned a lot going through the thread, doing parallel research on the forum or internet to try to understand a lot of things you were all talking about in several occasions, and I think I should probably read it again from the beginning and try to get what I didn't the first time :)!

So, again, thanks to all and I can't wait until the next update from Ryan!

ps: I'm feeling so bad about the fact that I didn't discover AP before, I was in Australia until January and I could even have meet some of you, it could have been a great opportunity to learn from quite a lot of people, for what I can see looking here :)

So its official. I have finished my reading both of Ryans threads in a single sitting. Literally couldn't stop reading.

Thanks for sharing and inspiring me and opening my eyes to exactly what is possible. I will be following you on fb for sure and most likely be attending your next workshop.

I look forward to seeing what these bigs plans are that you hinted at.

Best of luck, ill be reading and, hopefully, soon posting my own thread with my first build.

Thanks Aduril and Tx Tower! Glad I can be an inspiration!

As promised, some pics of the class and koi spawning. I don't have any handy from the classroom portion but this is the hands on at the farm. Hope you enjoy!
