Are they small fish? Do you have a screen for the exits from the FT? Sometimes fingerlings get curious and swim out of the FT and into other areas of the system.

Salt for nitrites if you haven't already - 1ppt = 1KG per 1000L or 1gm per L
helps the fish handle the nitrites without killing them. The koi might be able to handle it anyway but it helps them out.

uniodized salt (Sodium Chloride) without anti-caking agents if you can find it. Usually pool salts or sea salt that hasn't been treated will work.

found only 2 kg of salt - my tank is about 3000L = so i need 3 kg of salt , but then better than nothing...

my fishes do not seem to rub against the pipes and floor anymore ( hopefully ) lol..

week 3 reading

1.pH 7.8

2. Amn -0

3.NO2 - 0

4.NO3- 0

guess it's the big tank volume hence the reading are all 0 ?

How are your fish and plants doing? Iron unless it's the right kind of chelated iron won't be available at that pH so you may see some yellowing on the plant leaves. The pH will eventually come down on it's own. Adjusting the top up water to pH 6.5 with Hydrochloric acid each time you top up the system is an option that can speed this along (it isn't a necessity and you don't want pH changes greater than 0.4 pH units at any one time so you have to be careful)

the leaves were yellow in the beginning...now it's better after i added the chelated iron.

i gotta dig up my data, but i think it's little.

i added in 1 spoon every week. ( the spoon that came with the iron )

but since the wording are all in thai i am not sure what is the % in it.

so, it's safer i go slow.

That sounds like the plants aren't doing too bad and it probably is good to go slow with the iron chelate :thumbright: Many of them are about 10% Fe-DTPA but there is no sure thing :dontknow:

You may want to post a pic of the ingredients list on the bottle since there are several members here living in Thailand.
