just after I took the tank photos I wandered over to our other garden. This is it. It's just behind the tanks.

Love your gardens Forest. How long have the potatoes been in for. Are they in hay or dirt?

Forest I have never cleaned the sides of my tank. Maybe vacuum excess poo off the bottom and put it into the growbeds, but at this stage, I wouldn't touch it. Lookin really good!

dthawk, yep we eat from our garden every day. We don't eat any meat or chicken, only vegetables, grains, legumes, eggs and fish. I preserve or freeze some of the excess and give some to family and neighbours.

Thanks aquamad. :D

Thanks VB. The potatoes, which are Dutch Creams, Nikolas and Kipflers, were planted 3-4 weeks ago. We are planting up a follow up bed next week. They're in soil, mulched with straw. I sometimes grow spuds in potato cages, but I think we might have enough with this lot and our followups, and the followups to the followup.

Thanks monya. That means that I win! 8) This is what H will do when I tell him --->

Looking good forest, can't wait to receive the news that my tank is ready :thumbleft:

One extra thing that I will be doing is putting a shadecloth cover over the fish tank to help reduce algae growth....I have also noticed that the fish enjoy the extra shade in my temp tank from the shade cloth cover

les, when is your tank due? It should be soon. I'll be interested in seeing how you set it up. Make sure you take lots of photos.

forest, just completed week 4 of the 6-8 week waiting period....frantically increasing the size of the GH to add more GBs...made some "mods" to my original plans so as to incorporate 6 GBs and the new tank inside the GH

28-14 days to go.....................

LOL
Quiet honestly I would purchase a ready made system if there were one out there... I like building my system but I find I have very little time most weeks, so a system that comes with beds and tank would be great, but I would be buggered if I would have the patience like you EllKayBee to wait that long just for growbeds  ....
