Charlie,no your just showing off because you know what a hash tag is and i reckon we should ask the mods to put whenever Ryan post pics, to put that square squiggly thing the one the police use, over the pics so we know there there but we can’t just quite see it..... :laughing3:

As a byline i just asked the wife if it was ok to get aroused over vegetable pictures, she thought for a minute then said, well you do grow some good looking cucumbers...........

Looking great Ryan.

I've got a whole lot of indigo rose seeds coming in the mail, hopefully I can match your efforts.

Cool looking amber arrow head. What's up with the passion flower? You eat them? They grow like weeds here. Have to be careful where they go in a landscape, as they can "take over". Great looking stuff Rhino!

Thanks Chris! Made it from a bud light :)

The passion fruit is a purple edible variety that is delicious and cold hardy. I have a vine covering my front porch lattice and walls so its pretty much a little passion fruit cave.

Awesome Column! I had a lot of leaf curl with that variety but they still produced good.

Ryan,

your greenhouse plastic looks opaque. Is that due to the UV coating applied to most greenhouse plastic? I am using a similar greenhouse film and it only allows in 80% of the light but it does diffuse it quite a bit. Will this amount of light allowed in be a problem for the plants????

Not sure why APFTW but it was a 3 year film so maybe it's just thicker. 80% will be fine, it just slows things a bit during low light periods in winter.

I've got just over 3 weeks until my workshop and im super excited to get a chance to meet some of the members here that are attending! It's going to be awesome!

Ryan,

Speaking of the workshop. Are we allowed to bring a tape recorder to help us with our notes? I don't want to miss or forget anything. Especially being a backyard guy who will be unfamiliar with a lot of your terminology. And may have to look it up later.

Can't wait!! Ryan, I met you in Roanoke at the recirc conference where you presented your amazing tomatoes and the use of grafting root stock. I am looking forward to your workshop and learning all I can.

Wow Ryan, just stumbled across your original thread and now this one. Amazing set up, beautiful pictures and so much valuable information that you generously share. I look forward to reading back through the 70 pages of this thread now. Perfect for a very rainy day here.

NICE!
Found your original thread yesterday and just finished reading through all the threads on both.
Building a new house up here where it really gets cold! I will be including a passive greenhouse on the south side of the barn (16'x36'). Definitely going AP for family consumption and hoping to also supplement my income. If all goes well, I would love to expand and do it full time!
Thanks for all the info and inspiration!

I just spent the last week reading your entire thread... WOW.

Incredible.

And it has me rethinking my entire design when I haven't even finished putting it together, and wondering what to do with several pallets of LECA I've yet to open.

I cannot believe I missed your con, if you ever should have another Ryan I will be there. If only I knew of it two weeks ago! I bet it was wonderful.

Anyway, thank you Ryan for the inspiration!

Oh it was defiantly a workshop that was well worth it. As everyone walked away with some new information. Mind blowing really. I would go again next week if he had another one with more info.
