Had Basa once...it sucked. Soft, mealy texture, unpleasant taste. Maybe that's why?

yah,

i tried this once because it was a cheap fish meat and not knowing really what it was. It tasted ok fried in corn meal but i also read up on what it was and why it was so cheap and i havent bought it again. I kind of feel the same way about the 4lb's of tilapia fillets i can buy at walmart for $10.

I have been ramping up the fish/aquaculture part of my systems so soon enough buying fish for protein will all be moot for me.

This is one of the main reasons that I am trying to grow all my own fish .It may even cost more but I know what all the inputs are except the fish food and I am working on that.
