Well done, I must drop in and check it out on my way through next time. Love the cladding. What are you going to stock with once cycled?

Heads up for Gippslanders, there is a Vegie Garden Open Day on Saturday 14 March from 10am to 2pm with six gardens in Maffra (mine), Sale, Stratford and Briagolong. Details can be found at http://www.wellington.vic.gov.au/Lists/ ... arden-Tour and you can get the info booklet by emailing the contact person.

At my place you can see 'The Fish Farm' (only yabbies and vegies but no trout yet as NO2 is still spiking), 'The Chook Condo', raised vegie beds, hand built wood fired pizza oven, metal art & mosaics...

Made some good progress this avo - fish tank in - cladded and levelled - Pipes cut for slo - pipes measured and cut for feed to growbed.
Now my young apprentice will come in and smash out a Saturday of rock cleaning and barrowing.
Q: do you think the small amount of left over olive oil residue is a problem?

Thanks for the share Joc!!! Sounds like a blissful avo - My cousin lives in Mafra and is also building an AP system - I might forward your details if you don't mind :)

This system will have a few large perch initially from my system - has to have something when the mayor turns on the pump for opening day - but it's cooling down here atm so I think some trout might be the go ....

This is probably a dumb question, but it looks to me like it is a gravity feed system coming from the ft. Would I be wrong in assuming this? Also, what are the dimensions for the beds and tank? Because that looks like a system my wife would let me build when we have a little more room.
